We decided to leave our airbnb in Nashville a day early when we realized the drive was 5 hours to Asheville. 

We packed up within 2 hours, booked a hotel and hit the road. 

We ended up in Knoxville at a Quality Inn that had a water park.  We arrived at 11pm.

Lets just say the kids loved the water park… The rest, well…Id never recommend this hotel to anyone. Ever. I won’t go into details and I have no photos but trust me…keep driving and book a place in Gatlinburg instead. 

We arrived in Asheville around 4. It reminds me so much of our home in the Carolinas. The boys played outside all evening. I made Balsamic Pork Chops and Sweet Potato Mash in the instapot and we all went to bed tired. 

Simple. Easy. Happy. Peaceful.
