I am not someone who typically gets excited about the journey to a destination. I am a get me there efficiently kind of traveler. But our flight to Tokyo on Singapore Airlines changed that completely.
We found our tickets for just over $400 each — one way to Tokyo. I genuinely thought it was a mistake. It was not. And what followed was honestly one of the best travel experiences we have ever had at any price point.
We boarded our A380-400..there were pictures hung on the wall. We had a three seat row to ourselves. Warm towels, earphones, toothbrushes and socks along with a 4 course menu were all handed to us.
Food included Japanese Cuisine or an International Meal. We were given our own Ben and Jerry’s and also a choice of wine, beer or cocktail.
We watched movies and slept…
And a short 12 hours later, we arrived in Tokyo.

Q: What amenities does Singapore Airlines provide on long haul flights? A: Warm towels, earphones, toothbrush, socks, a full entertainment system with movies and a four course dining menu are all included. The service level is consistently ranked among the best in the world.

Nope, First class was 14,000! They have suites upstairs on the place with beds and lcd flat screens, a "hollywood bathroom" and a leather armchair!
