What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help a site remember things and can let other companies, like Google or Pinterest, recognize your browser across visits.
No cookie banner currently exists
AdventuresWeSeek.com does not currently have a cookie-consent banner. The tools listed below begin working as soon as you visit the site, before you make any choice.
Cookies and tracking tools used on this site
Essential. WordPress’s own core cookies, used for basic site functionality.
Analytics: load automatically on every visit.
- Google Analytics, using cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga cookie.
- Jetpack Stats, WordPress.com’s built-in visitor statistics tool.
Social and sharing.
- Pinterest’s “Save” button loads automatically on page load, before you click anything.
- X (Twitter)’s share option only loads tracking if you click it.
What we don’t currently use. No advertising or retargeting pixels. No checkout or payment cookies, since this site has no checkout. No MailerLite or other outside email-marketing widget.
Managing cookies
You can manage cookies through your own browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or browse in a private window that limits some tracking. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work. You can also use Google’s browser opt-out tool to opt out of Google Analytics specifically.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy as our cookie and tracking tools change. We’ll update the date at the top when we do.
