One activity book has never once worked for all three of my kids. Here is what actually fits, by how old they are.
Poppy marks the kid stuff. Everything on this page was made for kids to use on the trip, on the plane, in the car and at the table.Small people cannot read a guidebook and will not fill in a journal, so these two are built around looking, finding and collecting instead of writing.
Ages 7 to 10Too old for coloring, too young for a journalThis is the gap nobody writes for. Old enough to want a real job to do, young enough that it still has to feel like play.
Ages 11 to 13For the ones who can smell a worksheetOlder kids push back on anything that feels like school, so these hand them something real instead: a decision to make, a story to question, a book of their own to fill.
Two that work at any age
The Family Keepsake Pack and Adventure Bingo are not age specific. The Keepsake Pack is the book the whole family fills in together on the way home, and Bingo is one page you hand to everybody in the back seat.
Both of them show up on all three age pages, because both of them genuinely fit.
