The beach day that lifts a whole Pattaya trip is a short boat ride offshore to Koh Larn, Coral Island.
The water and sand out there are far nicer than the mainland, white and clear and calm. Take the ferry or a speedboat from the pier, pick one of the quieter beaches, and spend the day swimming, snorkeling and eating fresh seafood on the sand.
Go early and head back before the afternoon crowds build. It is an easy, cheap adventure that gives the kids a proper tropical beach a stone’s throw from the mainland.
