The Bund and the Pudong Skyline With Kids

On the Bund, a row of grand old European buildings faces the water, and across it in Pudong rises one of the tallest, most futuristic skylines on earth. Walk the Bund at dusk as the towers light up, ride to the top of the Shanghai Tower for the view, and then cross under the river on the gloriously kitschy Sightseeing Tunnel, a light show ride the kids will not forget.

I taught social studies for eight years, and standing on the Bund you show a kid a hundred years of change across a single stretch of water.
