Since January 14, 2026, Louvre tickets cost €32 for visitors from outside the European Economic Area, including Americans, up from €22. Everyone under 18 still gets in free, whatever their nationality, so a family of two adults and two kids pays €64.

Book a time slot at ticket.louvre.fr, even for the kids’ free tickets. It isn’t required, but it’s how you skip the line.
It’s closed on Tuesdays.
On Wednesday and Friday it’s open until 9pm. Evenings are calmer, and that’s when I’d take kids.
The first Friday of the month is free for everyone after 6pm, except in July and August.
Last entry is an hour before closing.
